DIY mobile ​for my grandson, Lansen.

             This unique mobile was made with painted wood whales and anchors, beads, wire, ribbon and a metal ring. I did a little research on what my daughter wanted for the baby room theme.  Whales, and more whales! By looking at the cost of the mobiles I decided that creating it myself was a better alternative. Since I created it with a third of the cost, I felt the time I put into painting, stringing and attaching it all together was well worth the 5 hours of time. 

​Basically, that is what you need to do. Put a lot of time into creating this piece. The wire was recycled thin wire that was easy to bend but strong enough to hold weight. Jewelry wire will work just fine. The ring is a crochet ring that I wrapped around carefully. 

Each wooden piece was painted with acrylic paint, glitter glue and thin a polyurethane clear coat to keep glitter from falling on baby. Please feel free to give comments on the blog. Thanks so much!
