Have an old shelf or dresser you would like to part with? That's what I did! I dismantled a book shelf that had broken areas and made a new life out of it. With this project I had access to a band saw. I feel in love with this machine and need to find a used one for my shop! First step, draw out a design. This is always important. Next, I cut my pieces out separately: the background heart, the leaves that are placed on the heart, the pedal stool for the heart, and the base on top, under the heart and a small wood piece to brace all the pieces together in the back. Make sure you find the clock device in advance at your local hardware store. This will determine the size of your clock facing. Use wood glue to adhere all of the pieces together, clamp them together and let them dry over night. My painted design of leaves , hearts and the word Love all represent my name and my three children. A very simplistic clock that represents my family. NOW, go make your own and let me know how it turns out! Share your thoughts on my blog.
